Volunteer to help the AWCC
Plant Bald Cypress Trees at
Jimmie Davis State Park
America’s Wetland Conservation Corps (AWCC) members Sharon Nabours and Phylicia Trichell are partnering with Jimmie Davis State Park for a tree-planting project and are looking for volunteers. On August 11 they will travel to the park and plant bald cypress trees. Cypress trees were planted in North Louisiana last year by another member and were very successful.
Louisiana State Parks are a well-kept secret in our state, and we should make sure that they are kept in a healthy state. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, you can contact AWCC member Phylicia Trichell at 337-329-5099 or email her at ptrichell@agcenter.lsu.edu.
