Keewall in the attic is reinforced with OSB sheathing to resist shear (racking wind loads) and hurricane connectors to resist uplift.

Joists are strapped to support a beam which is strapped to the roof rafters to tie all components together.

Kneewall studs in the attic are alligned and connected to each rafter with a twist strap.

hurricane straps
Long metal straps connect a SIPS wall and ceiling panels to framed roof rafters. Straps that extend over the rafters provide more uplift resistance.
